Journey through time and space to the British Isles, when Scottish clans and royalty made roots in the highlands North of modern day England. Family tartans varied in color and pattern, try out unique color combinations when stitching the four animal figures! The Lion and Unicorn are both recognized as signs of Heraldic symbolism in Scotland. The center of the four combined blocks is furnished with a Scottish Targe. This design is also adorned with blossoming three-dimensional thistles, the national emblem of Scotland. Finally, the Crown of Scotland rests between the unicorns, representing the oldest surviving crown in the British Isles.
